Oruro, 31 mayo 2020 (RBT). Edson Milton Oczachoque Gerónimo fue designado como nuevo gobernador del departamento de Oruro, en sesión extraordinaria realizada en la jornada de hoy, en la Asamblea Legislativa Departamental de Oruro.
“Agradecer a los colegas que han confiado en mi persona para poder proseguir esta parte y este tiempo que nos queda para trabajar por el departamento de Oruro”: afirmó la nueva Autoridad.

Saúl Sánchez, asambleísta por los Demócratas se auto postuló como candidato, pero no tuvo apoyo de los asambleístas del departamento.

Saúl Sánchez recibió apoyo de 3 asambleístas departamentales; Edson Oczachoque, 19 votos; nulo 1 y 9 abstenciones que no quisieron acudir a la urna. La nueva Autoridad es oriunda del municipio de Huari, capital de la provincia Sebastián Pagador.
