Oruro, 09 junio de 2022 (RBT). El Batallón de Ingeniería VII “Sajama” conmemoró el 43 aniversario de creación, en acto especial realizado hoy en el patio de honor de esta Vizarra Unidad.
De la ceremonia participaron el Sr. Cnl. DAEN. Leo César Villazón Vargas, Comandante de la Segunda División del Ejército; Miembros del Estado Mayor Divisionario; Comandantes de las Reparticiones Militares y Pequeñas Unidades; Sr. Tcnl. DEM. José Luis Terán Guachalla, Comandante del BATING 7 “Sajama”, Autoridades Nacionales Políticas, Municipales, Educativas y Originarios de la provincia Carangas.
“Son 43 años que el personal con un alto sentido de responsabilidad y profesionalismo del Ejército ha pasado por esta Unidad, guiados por el paradigma de honor, sacrifico y cumplimiento del deber, lo cual es ejemplo de amor su Patria con su participación en diferentes misiones asignadas”. Afirmó el Comandante de la Segunda División.
“Este Batallón dentro de sus específicas funciones, está abocado precisamente a albergar y capacitar años tras año a Oficiales, Sargentos y Soldados de las Fuerzas Armadas en el peligroso entrenamiento de explosivistas de combate capaces de cumplir cualquier misión que se les ordene, en defensa de los altos intereses del Estado y la Patria toda”, complementó.
Por su parte, el Comandante de la Unidad anfitriona reflejó la historia del Batallón, manifestando que se constituyen en los guardianes del girón patrio y formadores de especialidad.
“El Batallón de Ingeniería VII “Sajama”, con asiento en la localidad de Corque, de la provincia Carangas del departamento de Oruro fue fundado el 4 de junio de 1979 de acuerdo de la Orden del Día del Ejército 20/79 donde se crea la primera Compañía de Ingeniería de Combate del Ejército de Bolivia”, afirmó el Tcnl. Terán.
“Un 9 de junio (del 1979) se cumple la orden de traslado de tropa hacia la localidad de Corque ingresando la Columna Militar Motorizada causando alborozo y expectación, trasladándose a las instalaciones del futuro cuartel donde las autoridades y población realizaron el acta de fundación de la Unidad”, destacó.
El nominativo de Sajama es en reconocimiento al nevado más imponente y característico dela región.
“La Unidad también es denominada como Batallón Escuela de Ingeniería VII “Sajama” iniciando con los cursos de especialidad en explosivos y demoliciones, desminado humanitario para los Oficiales y Cadetes del Colegio Militar, Suboficiales, Sargentos y Alumnos de la Escuela Militar de Sargentos del Ejército y el curso de Zapador Andino para el personal de Tropa”, detalló.
En la actualidad el Batallón desempeña sus operaciones con un trabajo permanente, en la instrucción y el entrenamiento en la especialidad de Ingeniería de Combate, siendo un referente como Unidad insignia y la doctrina del arma de Ingeniería en el Ejército de Bolivia.
