Oruro, 09 marzo (RBT). El Comando de la Segunda División del Ejército, en coordinación con la Dirección Distrital de Educación rindió homenaje a la Tricolor, en acto especial desarrollado hoy en el histórico Faro de Conchupata.
Estudiantes de Unidades Educativas participaron del acto, realzando de esta manera el fervor cívico en el espacio donde por primera vez se izó la bandera boliviana, como es la colina de conchupata.
Una batería de asistencia del Regimiento de Artillería 1 My. Gral. Camacho participó de la actividad, entonando los himnos que identifican al país, como gesto de respeto al símbolo patrio.
El 7 de noviembre de 1851, en el faro Conchupata se izó por primera vez la bandera de Bolivia, durante la presidencia de Manuel Isidoro Belzu, en medio de salvas de artillería y fusilería, ante la presencia de las autoridades nacionales. En homenaje a esta fecha, el Ejército cumple con esta acción cívica.
