Oruro, 12 de julio 2021 (RBT). El Comando de la Segunda División del Ejército, rindió homenaje al “Día de la Mujer Militar” en acto especial desarrollado hoy, en el patio de honor del Regimiento de Artillería 1 “My Gral. Camacho”.
El acto contó con presencia del Sr. Cnl. DAEN. Juan Carlos Padilla Aguilar, Comandante Acc. del Comando de la Segunda División del Ejército; Miembros del Estado Mayor Divisionario, Comandantes de PPUU e invitados especiales.
“A través de la directiva de las Fuerzas Armadas (FFAA) del Estado N° 024/18, cuyo objeto establece normas, lineamientos y procedimientos para incentivar y/o motivar el respeto al género femenino de las FFAA”. Recordó el Cnl. Padilla.
A partir de esa normativa, se dispone reafirmar el 12 de julio de cada gestión, como el Día de la Mujer en las FFAA. en honor al nacimiento de la Mcal. Juana Azurduy de Padilla.
“En tal sentido hoy 12 de julio del 2021 es un día de trascendental importancia porque hoy se valoriza y se destaca el papel que cumple la mujer en las actividades que viene desarrollando nuestro Estado. Y de manera particular, quiero destacar el aporte que prestan las damas Oficiales, Suboficiales, Sargentos, Cadetes, Soldados y Empleados Civiles al cumplimiento de nuestra misión constitucional”, afirmó.
En el acto, la Gran Unidad Militar entregó distinciones a 12 mujeres de las FFAA. de las diferentes Unidades Militares, tanto del Ejército como de la Fuerza Aérea con asiento en la ciudad de Oruro, por el servicio y dedicación en sus funciones.
Hasta la fecha, la única mujer que alcanzó el grado de general fue Gina Reque Terán Gumucio, quien, en 2016, fue designada como Jefe de Estado Mayor de las FFAA.
