Oruro, 04 de noviembre 2021 (RBT). El Regimiento de Artillería I My. Gral. Camacho, hoy conmemoró el 195 aniversario de creación, con un acto especial de homenaje realizado en el patio de honor de esta bizarra Unidad.
La ceremonia especial se realizó con presencia del Sr. Gral. Brig. Milton Fredy Navia Escalera, Director General Territorial Militar del Ministerio de Defensa; Cnl. DAEN. Gregory Olmos Rejas, Comandante de la Segunda División del Ejército; OOSS. miembros del Estado Mayor Divisionario; Tcnl. DEM. Alexander Guillen Goytia, Comandante del Regimiento; Comandantes de las PPUU. e invitados especiales.
“Hablar del arma de la artillería, es hablar del Regimiento Camacho 1 de Artillería. Hablar de esa arma noble es hacer sentir esa mística que tienen, nuestros soldados y su personal”. Reflejó el Gral. Navia. a tiempo de recordar cuando fue como Segundo Comandante de la Unidad.
Por su parte el Comandante de esta bizarra Unidad demostró satisfacción y orgullo por esta fecha importante. “Hoy 4 de noviembre recordamos a la figura del My. Gral. Eliodoro Camacho, fecha de nacimiento adoptada el aniversario del Regimiento Camacho I de artillería en conformidad al orden del día del Ejército N° 16 del 14 de febrero de 1939”. Afirmó.
El Regimiento Camacho se constituye en un patrimonio orureño, tomando en cuenta que los varones en su mayor parte, prestaron su Servicio Militar en esta Unidad.
