Oruro, 07 de noviembre 2021 (RBT). El Comando de la Segunda División del Ejército, rindió homenaje a la histórica fecha en que fue izada la Tricolor, en acto especial realizado hoy en el Faro de Conchupata.
“A lo largo de los años, hemos asistido muchas generaciones a esta colina de Conchupata, lugar emblemático y escrito en los anales de nuestra historia, porque en este sitio se izó por primera vez nuestra bandera”, afirmó el Cnl. DAEN. Juan Carlos Padilla Aguilar, Jefe de Estado Mayor de la Segunda División del Ejército.
En el acto estuvieron presentes, autoridades Políticas, Educativas, Militares y una delegación del Colegio Juan Misael Saracho.
Por su parte el Gobernador del Departamento de Oruro Dr. Jhonny Vedia Rodríguez señaló que Oruro siempre fue protagonista de la historia de Bolivia, incluida la reciente aprobación de la nueva Constitución Política del Estado.
“Y nos remontamos al año de 1851 cuando por primera vez, en el país (…) se iza nuestra Bandera, nuestra Tricolor, nuestro Rojo, Amarillo y Verde”, afirmó.
La historia señala que el 7 de noviembre de 1851, el presidente Manuel Isidoro Belzu izó por primera vez la actual tricolor boliviana, en medio de salvas de artillería y fusilería, ante la presencia de las principales autoridades nacionales, en la colina de Conchupata.
