Oruro, 14 junio de 2022 (RBT). El Comando de la Segunda División del Ejército, rindió homenaje a los Beneméritos de la Guerra del Chaco, recordando el cese de hostilidades en acto especial desarrollado hoy, en el patio de honor del Regimiento de Artillería 1, My. Gral. “Camacho”.
La ceremonia contó con presencia del Sr. Cnl. DAEN. Leo César Villazón Vargas, Comandante de la Segunda División del Ejército, Miembros del Estado Mayor Divisionario, Autoridades de Cultura del Gobierno Departamental y Municipal de Oruro, representantes de los hijos de los Beneméritos de la Patria, Unidades Educativas e invitados especiales.
“Un 14 de junio se silenciaron el rugir de los cañones y el tableteado de las ametralladoras, poniendo fin a una guerra”. Afirmó el Cnl. Villazón.
Una de las acciones bélicas más importantes del continente americano del siglo XX, fue esta guerra donde hubo despliegue del material bélico y que ha significado defender la Patria, incluso haciendo frente a la naturaleza.
“Al rememorar los viajes las marchas forzadas para llegar a nuestro confín Patrio a defender las trincheras, nuestra tierra y sus riquezas naturales que son y serán de los bolivianos, cuyo costo fue la inmolación de más de 50 mil ciudadanos bolivianos”, afirmó la Autoridad.
“Hace 87 años se firmó el cese de hostilidades de la guerra del chaco, después de 3 años de contienda, (…) en junio de 1935”. Complementó.
Un grupo de estudiantes de las Unidades Educativas Bolívar, Pantaleón Dalence y Jorge Oblitas recrearon algunos episodios de la forma en cómo los bolivianos partieron rumbo al chaco boliviano.
Más temprano, la Segunda División del Ejército junto al Gobierno Municipal y los hijos de los Beneméritos de la Patria, colocaron la ofrenda floral en el cementerio general.
